چکیده

Relativistic Hamiltonians are defined as the sum of relativistic one-body kinetic energy, twoand three-body potentials and their boost corrections. In this work we use the variational Monte Carlo method to study two kinds of relativistic effects in the binding energy of 3H and 4He. The first is due to the nonlocalities in the relativistic kinetic energy and relativistic one-pion exchange potential (OPEP), and the second is from boost interaction. The OPEP contribution is reduced by ∼ 15% by the relativistic nonlocality, which may also have significant effects on pion exchange currents. However, almost all of this reduction is canceled by changes in the kinetic energy and other interaction terms, and the total effect of the nonlocalities on the binding energy is very small. The boost interactions, on the other hand, give repulsive contributions of ∼ 0.4 (1.9) MeV in 3H (4He) and account for ∼ 37% of the phenomenological part of the three-nucleon interaction needed in the nonrelativistic Hamiltonians. Systematic relativistic quantum effects on screening of fusion rates in white dwarfs

Relativistic electron degeneracy effects are dominant in ultra-dense plasmas (UDP), such as those found in white dwarfs. These effects can be treated systematically by obtaining an expansion of the screening length in inverse powers of ~. In general, our theory leads to an O(10) effect on the enhancement of fusion rates in white dwarfs. Further, it is shown analytically for these stellar condit...

Few-body reference data for multicomponent formalisms: Light-nuclei molecules

We present full quantum statistical energetics of some electron–light-nuclei systems. This is accomplished with the path-integral Monte Carlo method. The effects on energetics arising from the change in the nuclear mass are studied. The obtained results may serve as reference data for the multicomponent density functional theory calculations of light-nuclei systems. In addition, the results rep...

The response of Geant4 hadronic models to the study of neutrons produced in proton irradiation to the light materials

Neutron is one of the products of the interaction of high energy protons with light nuclei. Using computational Monte Carlo codes, it is possible to calculate and predict the neutron spectrum, neutron flux, and doses by simulating the system. But the use of different hadronic models in this process can influence the results of these calculations. In this research, the response of the four hadro...

Particle Spectra Of Ultra - Relativistic Shock Waves

Numerical Monte Carlo simulations of the diffusive shock acceleration in the test particle limit are investigated. We simulate high relativistic flow astrophysical plasmas for upstream γ ∼ 5 and up to γ ∼ 1000. These gamma values are relevant to the diffusive shock acceleration models of Active Galactic Nuclei (AGN) and Gamma Ray Bursts (GRBs). The spectral shape for the above high relativistic...
